The Chandbagh School organized a programme on 27th March 2014 to felicitate the students in four different categories. The students studying in different levels were awarded with medals and certificates by Mr. Damodar Lamichhane ,Chairman of the school, Principal Mr. Bhushan Gurung, Assistant Principal, School co-ordinators and teachers. In the programme, Ankit Kunwar of Standard VB and Muskan Thapa of the same class were awarded with the best student award in junior level. Likewise, Sanskar Marahatta and Suddhata Thapa of standard IXA were awarded with the best student award in senior level.
The achievement award was given to Suyash Malla of Student IIB in junior level and Dristy Moktan of standard VIIIB in senior level.
Sneha Acharya of standard IV B and Brijesh Baral of student IXA were given all rounder award in junior and senior category respectively.
The best sports person award was given to Pranay Lama of standard VC in junior level and Sabina Skambraks of IXB in senor level.

The Annual Sports Day of “The Chandbagh School” SLC -Main Block was held on Saturday, February 15th, 2014 at National Police Academy, Maharajgunj. The Chief Guest of the Programme was Mr Yubaraj Lama, the President of National Sports Council, Nepal. Many distinguished guests, Principals from various school and Colleges, respective members of CG Education ,Journalist ,Parents and Well Wishers were also invited in the programme .The Programme started by National Anthem followed by March Pass from the students of the four Houses. The students performed various sports activities like athletics, relay race, Yoga demonstration, Karate Demonstration etc. The Yellow House was declared the House of the Year 2014.
V -STAR TRAINING FOR EDUCATORS AND STUDENTS AT CUG, NAWALPARASI.
The CG Education and Dhamakaya Foundation World Peace Initiative Project Thailand organized a 5 day V-Star Training Program in Chaudhary Udhyog Gram Nawalparasi for Nepalese teachers and students .This is the first training program of its kind held in Nepal by the World Peace Initiative, Thailand.
The Thai team was led by Mrs. Phornsan Kamlangek, a famous Thai industrialist and philanthropist. Three Thai monks Luang Phi Pasura, Luang Phi Duke, Luang Phi Ruben and six other Thai aids had come to initiate and train the participants. The Nepalese team was led by Mr .Bhushan Gurung, Principal of The Chandbagh School, and assisted by trainers Mrs Renu Kumai , Mrs Harikala Gurung, Mrs Usha Rayamajhi and Mrs Pratima Rana Karki, who are teachers of The Chandbagh School .
The V- Star Training program was held from 6th November 2013 to 10th November 2013 . It was attended by teachers and students from The Chandbagh School , Campion School and Delhi Public School Birgunj. The breakdowns of the participants are as follows:

The aim of V- Star is to inculcate moral values with the help of meditation and activity-based learning. The training comprised of meditation and group activities. Every day the teachers and students had to undergo three meditation sessions .Apart from meditation, the participants were involved in group activities like games, inter-group competitions, all of which focused on enhancing their skills in group work and team spirit .All the participants were trained to wash their dishes, tidy their tents, fold their clothes ,arrange their bags neatly ,sweep and mop the floor ,clean bathrooms etc. The participants all enjoyed doing these simple chores. Carrying out such simple activities regularly instills habits of cleanliness, organization, orderliness, develops interpersonal, skills, kills their egos and makes them self-reliant. On the other hand, the meditation sessions developed intrapersonal awareness, punctuality, politeness, patience and respect.
The lighting and releasing of the sky lanterns and meditation in front of the candle lights on the eve of the second last day was a totally new experience for all .The participants faces lit up with joy and happiness as they lit and released the sky lanterns. Seeing the lanterns float up towards the sky was a rear sight and an unforgetful experience.
The final day ended with the Closing Ceremony which was attended by Mr. Nirvana Kumar Chaudhary, MD Chaudhary Group, and Ms. Girley Agrawal ,Senior General Manager CG Education. Mr. Chaudhary thanked the Thai team for their involvement and contribution in CG Education through V- Star.
The training of V- Star has made the children more balanced and focused in their approach and they have become self reliant, confident and positive. Meditation has increased their level of concentration and self awareness. This balanced and positive approach will definitely help them academically and make them better individuals capable of bringing about wide ranging changes in the society and country.
GRANDPARENT’S DAY AT THE CHANDBAGH SCHOOL
The Chandbagh School organized Grandparent’s Day and Dashain Special Programme on 1st October 2013. More than 200 grand parents were present in the programme which was held in the multipurpose hall of the school.
The programme started at 12:30 am and ended at 1:30 pm. The programme was hosted by Dikshya Sharma followed by the welcome speech of Asst. Principal. In the programme, Kabin Thapaliya and Birat Ghale delivered English and Nepali speech respectively. The students of different classes performed various activities to entertain the grand parents present in the programme.
Class I presented a song ‘It’s a small world after all’
Class IV presented a dance an Nepali song ‘Mohani Lagla hai’
Class II presented a Bingo
Class III & V presented a Nepali drama
Class V presented a dance on Nepali song ‘Dashain aayo’
At the end of the programme, CCA co-ordinator of Chandbagh Ms. Usha Rayamajhi presented her vote of thanks to all the grandparents for their valuable participation in the programme followed by refreshment.
Inter House Quiz Competition 2013
The Inter House Quiz Competition was held at The Chandbagh School on 4th September 2013 at the multipurpose hall of the school. The competition was held in two categories. In category A, the students from class 6 to 8 and in category B, the students of class 9 and 10 took part. Among the students of the four houses, Apollo, Zeus, Iris and Rhea, the third position was secured by the students of Zeus. They are:

Chandbagh: Higher Secondary Program in Management
The Chandbagh School has created one more option for the Chandbagians and other students by opening Class XI in Management from the academic session 2070-71.This long-awaited programme has come up with some new and promising steps towards the process of imparting education in Management Studies.We are sure our plans, policies and overall guidance will help our students redefine the values of management in postmodern context. Chandbagh has always focused on Value-Based Education in our school and as such wewant to direct our students towards “learning and practices of Value-Based Management.”
Inauguration cum Orientation programme for Class XI Management was held on 25th July, 2013. The programme was organized with a view to sharing core vision, teaching-learning strategies and exclusive features of The Chandbagh School Management stream. The students were happy to know about the features of our Management Programme and assured us that they would work hard to be successful citizens as envisioned by the college.
CBS Girls Basketball Team holds Runner-Up Trophy: School family Proud of Achievement
Once again CBS Girls Basketball Team has delighted the Chandbagians through their skills and performance in prestigious basketball event Home & Away Basketball League. The Chandbagh School Boys and Girls Teams participated in Inter School “Home and Away– Basketball League” organized by Nepal Sports Group from 27th May 2013. In this league, 5 teams participated. The Chandbagh Boys and Girls Teams played altogether 8 games (4 in Home Court and 4 in Away Court). Boys Team won two games and secured 4 points but Girls’ team won 6 games and secured 12 points, raising runner-up trophy. Even the winner team secured 12 points only. But due to the difference in score we were pushed down to the second position.

The Chandbagh School, an initiative of CGIEducation, has brought EduSports,India’s largest school sports company,and incorporated in its curriculum through a set of structured physical education and sports programmes.This was formally announced organizing a press meet on July 18, 2013 Mr. Nirvana Kumar Chaudhary, Managing Director of Chaudhary Group, along with senior officials, was present on the occasion and shed light on the motive behnd harbouring EduSports.

Inter School Art Competition
Inter School Art Competition was organized by The Chandbagh School on July 16, 2013 at The Chandbagh School, Bansbari, Kathmandu. The competition was held on two categories. On both categories winners First, Second and Third were declared. Chancelor of Fine Arts Academy, Mr. Kiran Manandhar gave prizes to the winners of the competition.
The Chandbagh School celebrated Bhaunujayanti with various program on July 13, 2012. In this occasion school organized Nepali Poem competition among the students of the school
Annual Day Celebration 2009
The Chandbagh School, Bansbari, Kathmandu, promoted by Chaudhary Group, celebrated its Annual Day-2009 at Rastriya Naach Ghar, Jamal on February 28, 2009 with the theme of Nepal: Unity in Diversity. Mr. Ganesh Shah, Minister for Environment, Science and Technology was the chief guest of the program. Addressing the program, the Executive Director of Chaudhary Group, Mr. Nirvana K. Chaudhary shared his vision that the school would be taken to a new height to match it with any other best international schools in a few years. He said that he was keen on working in the field of education to change the face of Nepal.
On the occasion, the students presented a variety of programs including folk songs, dances, English play, Nepali play, and instrumentals, coming from diverse ethnic and cultural background ranging from Dhimal, Gurung to Tamang Selo to justify the theme of the program. A huge mass of audience attended the program.
